Where to eat in Harlingen

We are traveling to South Padre by way of Harlingen and need a recommendation for lunch. Any type of food is fine, we just want a reliable, good food place! Thanks.

There are the usual chains. There is a Mexican food place that I think is pretty popular, but for the life of me, I can%26#39;t remember the name. Maybe someone else will. There is a Texas Roadhouse on hiway 77 on the way out of town on the left...I think they do good food.

Along #77, in San Benito, there is the Longhorn Cattle Company...good food...great ribs.

have always wondered about that barbeque place, thanks spilover.

oops..i mean homesweet. short term memory loss..really short.

Place is quite rustic, linlo, but the friendliest servers any time we have been there. Just good old down-home cooking and lots of it (that%26#39;s why we don%26#39;t go real often...lol).

Thanks for the responses. Texas Roadhouse will work. Sorry we didn%26#39;t get the name of the Mexican place.

Luvthebeach32, I hope it%26#39;s not too late to share this info. The mexican rest. the others may be thinking of is Los Asados, situated next to Peter Piper Pizza, behind the football stadium. If you%26#39;ve already come and gone well, maybe next time! Delma

thank you! Los Asados it is. Hope I can remember it now.

Thank you rqvalleygirl, we aren%26#39;t visiting until Sept. Labor Day. I appreciate your response.
