Outlet Shopping about 20 min north in San Marcos.

Natural Bridge Caverns 20 min south

Austin is about 45 min north

In addition to the previous post:

-Landa Park

-Mckenna Childrens Museum (if Children will be with you

-NB Conservation Society

-Snake Farm

-Downtown Shopping, the plaza, Brauntex theater, Railroad museum, etc

-Crocidile Gap (miniature golf, batting cages, go carts)

-Eat at the Gristmill (the ribs are excellent)

-Drive down river rd.

-Canyon Lake

Let me suggest two local eateries...

1) Pat%26#39;s Place (near Schlitterbahn) just a good ol%26#39; local diner with very cold beer Best Texas Beer is Shiner Bock

2) Union Street Station Home cookin%26#39; kinda joint which is great for breakfast

I would give The Grist Mill my recommendation as well!
