We are going to be in Houston on Thanksgiving day and are looking for some good dining options. Any recommendations??

Cafe Annie is a very good restaurant in town but it does come with a price tag. Are you looking for the usual Thanksgiving dinner or just a good restaurant ?

Greetings,

A fine restaurant to consider if you don%26#39;t mind moving away from the traditional turkey dinner is Fogo de Chao.

Fogo de Chao is a Brazilian restaurant where the waiters constantly bring you fine selections of meat on skewers and you pick the ones you wish to sample.

This place is a meat-lover%26#39;s paradise!

Fogo de Chao also has a great salad bar and they offer a wonderful Brazilian lemonade which is beyond description.

If you decide you want to give this Brazilian Churrascaria a try for Thanksgiving, then I would make reservations early. Here is Fogo de Chao%26#39;s address and phone number:

Fogo De Chao Churrascaria

8250 Westheimer Rd

Houston, TX 77063

Safe travels to you!

Hello janranch...Welcome to Houston!

If you like seafood, I would suggest McCormick %26amp; Schmick%26#39;s Seafood Restaurant. It is located off of the 610 West Loop, near the Galleria. Here is their address:

If you like Japanese food, I would absolutely suggest going to Todai. It is a Japanese sushi %26amp; seafood buffet restaurant.

As mentioned, Fogo de Chao is also a great restaurant, with a very unique dining experience.

I have been doing some research on that same thing today. We planned to go to Thanksgiving Parade Downtown this year and thought it would be a new and different idea to eat out for Thanksgiving. What I have found downtown is pricey.

Four Seasons Hotel- $70/person

Hyatt Regency-Spindletop-$46/person

The Alden-$45/person

I plan on pricing the The Magnolia and The Rice Hotel but I don%26#39;t think they will be any better. If you want to spend the money, the Spindletop Thanksgiving Champagne Dinner sounded wonderful.

I will probably have to start pricing out of downtown. If anyone knows of anything near downtown that would be good, let me know!

I just received an email.... Post Oak Grill will be serving dinner from 11-3pm. Afterwards, you can hang out in the Galleria area %26amp; watch Santa come down from a helicopter and turn on all the Xmas lights in the Galleria area. Enjoy!

Here%26#39;s some ideas from Open Table- none look particularly inexpensive.

De Ville restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel has a wonderful holiday spread.

Hi Jan,

There is a new little spot, right by Minute Maid Park called Picazo. We ate there the other night and enjoyed it,and it looks like they have a dinner menu that also offers cooked to order omelets, etc, as part of the selection, with some drinks included, as well. It is easy to get to this place, too--right off Highway 59N--on the edge of downtown, and away from the confusing maze of streets there!

I found their menu on %26#39;www.b4-U-eat.com%26#39;, which is a great site for looking up any kind of place in Houston--with Real people reviews! If

If you are here for a few days, do have a drink at the Skyline Bar at the top of the Hilton Americas--wow, they view! And, also, on a Friday night, go to the District 7 Grill(the Hutchins Street location is best, has a nice patio.!Check hours, they are only open certain days)--best burgers, fries, and pasta inthe city--very relaxed and fun.,great friendly, owners! Good for all ages, too!You can look them up on that website.

We have plans for the Hyatt, which has a view somewhat obstructed by new buildings, but still good. The price is right, and I did not make the plans, so I don%26#39;t feel right, changing them. Bit I think we would prefer Picazo, tbh! The prices are very comparable. Maybe next year, I don%26#39;t want to offend my brother, who made these plans. :)

Enjoy!!
