First visit to San Antonio!

My husband and I are planning a family vacation with our ten year old son, and I would like advice on what part of town to stay in. I%26#39;m looking for somewhere relatively inexpensive and safe. We are planning on visiting Seaworld and the Riverwalk. Do you have any other recommendations for a first time visitor?

First visit to San Antonio!

I would stay between DeZavala Road and 1604 on IH 10 West. Ther are several inexpensive motels in that area. Straight shot to downtown on IH 10, easy seaworls access by taking 1604, Fiesta Texas is just blocks away.

It depends if you want to stay on the riverwalk which is very safe as well as the SeaWorld area. The Drury%26#39;s are a great value for your money with lots of great amenities that are FREE. www.druryhotels.com Most of SA has safe area, it all depends on where you want to stay closer to???????

Don%26#39;t know when you%26#39;re coming but I went to Hotwire and put in 7/17 - 7/20 got:

3-star hotel in Riverwalk South - La Villita Area $59

3-star hotel in Riverwalk North and Alamo Area $84

3-star hotel in San Antonio Intl Airport SAT Area $54

3-star hotel in San Antonio Northwest - Medical Center $63

All of those sound like good deals. Remember, downtown will usually charge around $20/night for parking Airport and Northwest should be free parking.
