My husband and I and our 11 and 15-year old kids will be visiting Austin for the first time June 20-27 -- we love live music (why we%26#39;re coming!) Any advice about bars/clubs where they%26#39;ll admit kids with parents even in the evening? I%26#39;ve heard Antone%26#39;s, Stubbs and the Broken Spoke -- any others you%26#39;d recommend? Thanks!

I think places that are restaurants are going to let you listen with kids, Threadgill%26#39;s, Guero%26#39;s, to name a few. I%26#39;d look online at the Austin Chronicle (www.suatinchronicle.com) the Thursday before you come if you want to get a look at what%26#39;s playing where, some are already out there. Another option if you are going to be in the area for a week might be to go down to Gruene, tube or hit Schlitterbahn during the day and enjoy some music at Gruene Hall one evening - kid friendly. Easy drive from Austin. Enjoy!

Shady Grove might have some entertainment...
I would head to Gruene TX..in between AUS and San Antonio..suppoedly the oldest dance hall in TX ...usually free music on Sat and Sun afternoons.
A general store, wine tasting, restaraunt terraced overlooking the Guadalupe river.
