I have gone through a lot of messages and have compiled a list of things I want to do with my kids when we visit Houston in Oct/Nov (will stay for 3 to 4 weeks). Can some one give me some advice? Any places I should add?
Children%26#39;s Museum
Aquarium
Zoo
Visit Blue Bell Ice cream and Jersey (Ranch? Farm?) for milking cows (Brenhem)
Visit farms for hayride, petting farm, pumpkin patch, etc. (any suggestions for a specific farm?)
Miller Theater (if there is some kid show during our stay)
Renaissance Festival
Fort Worth Stockyard (haven%26#39;t decided yet because this is a bit far)
George Ranch
Bandera (hasn%26#39;t decided yet if we will go. a bit far)
appreciate any advice!
Things to do for a 3 yo and 22-month in Houston
You have a pretty good list there. In Houston, don%26#39;t forget the museum of natural science. There are good hands-on activities there, which will probably be more interesting for the older one of the two, but it%26#39;s still good.
If you do head up this way (toward San Antonio / Bandera), there are quite a few additional activities. It might be nice to spend a couple of days...
The original Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels has a fantastic kid%26#39;s section, and there%26#39;s always Sea World, which has large areas designed for kids.
The Witte museum has a nice kid%26#39;s area, and the zoo is good for kids, as well. There is a also drive-through wildlife park next to Natural Bridge Caverns.

you have a good list but I%26#39;m going to throw a few more ideas out there:
Kemah Boardwalk south of Houston - go there during the week when it%26#39;s not too crowded

The Space Center

Maybe an orchard where you can pick your own fruit / berries and pay for what you pick, Moody Garden (Nov water might be too cold), the butterfly garden.
Make a note that the Blue Bell Creamery is only open weekdays. The kids might find it a bit boring on the tour, but they%26#39;ll love the sample at the end of the tour.
The temperatures will be perfect for a trip to the zoo.
For the pumpkin patch, we like Dewberry Farms. This farm is out between Katy and Cypress, between I-10 west and Highway 290.

If you want to do a ranch and visit the stockyards in Ft Worth, but don%26#39;t want to go 2 different directions, there is an upscale place northwest of Ft Worth called Wildcatters Ranch, I%26#39;ve only heard about this place, not sure how it would be with kids

I like the other suggestions to spend time in both Bandera and San Antonio. There is so much to do there, and the kids will love Sea World.
I would not suggest NASA for the kids, they are too young to get much out of it.
