Lake Travis Area - July 4th

Can anyone tell me about this area. It seems some people say areas of the lake are dry. I have looked at Point Venture, Briarcliff, Lakeway, The Hollows, Horseshoe Bay and around there. Are there areas that are better than others with regard to lake accessibility and where to stay? Any info would be so helpful. Thank you.

If you go here - http://www.kvue.com/cams/ you can see the lake from the Oasis on their web cam. The lake is low. I also have friends that are out boating every weekend so it%26#39;s not to low to wakeboard or water ski. I don%26#39;t go out there much so hopefully someone else can answer your question in more detail.

www.dolce-lakeway-hotel.com for the Lakeway Inn on Lake Travis. While the lake is very low, it%26#39;s still good to have a view. This is a nice resort with good food, swimming pools, spa etc. Attractive grounds on the shores of Lake Travis.

July 4th finds a fireworks show and patriotic music at the Lakeway Park.

www.lwmarina.biz/boatrentals is the web site for the Lakeway Marina where they have rentals and are also knowledgeable about which boat ramps are still open if you%26#39;re bringing your own boat.

I seem to remember that watercrafts like jet skis are not permitted on Lake Travis on major holiday weekends.

Hope this gets you started.

Welcome to Austin!

Thanks so much Jodi and yankeetransplant - I so appreciate the information!!
