We have used Affordable Tours 3 times and have recommended them to others!

I have and they have proved to be a somewhat shady company. Their representatives seem to be commission driven to an unhealthy extreme and you will find that they will promise extras etc that do not materialise. They also undertake business which they are not authorised to. You will find in most instances that it is cheaper and more efficient to go direct to the travel operator rather than Affordable Tours who in my family%26#39;s ecxperience were unreliabale and not entirely honest.

They calmi to be members of respectable industry trading organisations but when you click on the sites that are on their page you come up with ';site under construction';. I would say beware!

I would never again deal with this company again. I bought excursions from affordable tours and paid in full on September 2008 for a trip to Egypt on December 2008 and did not receive any tavel materials until 48 hours prior to travel date. Only at that time, I was informed that they had received travel materials but Affordable tours did not ship to PR and that they would send me an E-mail as the only confirmation of my air-land package tours instead of the original identification badges, bags and travel documents to Egypt and Jordan that had been privided by Isram Tours. My travel agent was swithed twice without any notice and reaching a human being in the phone line is a trial to a saint%26#39;s patience. To my surprise, names on travel documnents received through E mail did not match the passports (I had twice informed the mistakes back in September when I initially made the reservations). As I called back to have document resent, the agent could not understand my why I wss upset. Besides, they offered a 10% discount on all Isram tours but did not honor it until I checked other internet site and spushed hard to get the discount.

We received extremely disappointing service from Affordable Tours.com - they switched our connection three times - supposedly each time the other person had left, but we kept getting emails from them. Then the biggest deal, well there was more than one... first we got nothing to confirm anything through the mail - we had to keep calling and finally got an email with erroneous information that we had to keep calling to get worked out. Then we arrive after a 10-hr $1700/person airflight to Argentina, a spanish speaking country, to find out that we were told we had to have a visa for Brazil and were not even allowed to board the cruise ship going to Uruguay and Brazil - another $3000+ purchase that we had paid for more than a year earlier. For us, they were worthless and we will never use them and further more, we will be sure no one we know will ever use them.

They are very unresponsive to emails, etc. I would recommend against using them.

They issued documents with the name not matching the passport. This caused quite a delay at the airport.

Not worth the savings...

JUST an FYI Affordable Tours is NOT a tour company...they are nothing more than order takers in a call center who deeply disoucnt tours. They also are NOT expereience in dealing with issues that arise with their clients. I have found that by using an experience Travel AGent...even though you may pay more...their service is invaluable. My personal favorite is Randall Schenkel at America%26#39;s Vacation Center/American Express...He is excellent and provides awesome service at fair prices....the rate you get are what the Tour companies are offering plus all the applicable discounts thru the various tour companies. There is so much work that goes into planning a tour that you need someone with his experience to make sure your tour and plans are perfect....Plus he is available 24/7 in case you need assistance.
