staying north of city

I%26#39;m going to be working on Bullverde Rd. the week of July 27-Aug 1 and am wondering where I can find an inexpensive, safe hotel that I%26#39;d want to be in for a week. I want an easy drive since I am unfamiliar with San Antonio and I prefer one with a free breakfast and a pool. Any recommendations?

There is a new Drury in that area that is a Great VALUE for your money with lots of FREE amenities.

They have a FREE Hot Breakfast, then Beverage %26amp; also adult beverage (2-3) %26amp; Snacks %26amp; it will be very close %26amp; a easy drive it on 801 N. Loop 1604 E. www.druryhotels.com

Also there is a Hampton Inn Northwoods www.hamptoninn.com which is nearby

Hawthorn NE www.sanantoniohawthornsuites.com

This 1 is a little farther out but a consideration

Residence Inn North/Stone Oak www.marriott.com/satmr

A restaurant for excellent Tex-Mex while you are here + nearby where you%26#39;ll be working %26amp; staying is

La Hacienda de los Barrios www.lhdlb.com so yummy as well as the margarita%26#39;s it%26#39;s on Redland Rd north of 1604 %26amp; easy to get to with a woodsy country atmosphere.

If these don%26#39;t meet your criteria than just re-ask to see if we can find something that meets your criteria %26amp; personal preference.

Have some Fun while working here.

In that area, safety won%26#39;t be as much of a concern as traffic. The intersection of the 281/1604 access roads is horrible, so if you can avoid them, do.

That a rather very, very long road, can you be a little more specific as to where on Bulverde road

VERY true!!! Bulverde Rd stretches from Loop 1604 north of Marshall Rd and continues...to Bulverde! No doubt about it, Loop 1604/281 intersection can be a nightmare at certain times. It also depends on where you%26#39;ll be working too. Is it the new Tesoro building? The Wamu...oops, I mean Chase call center? A little more help on the details would be nice.

I%26#39;m working at Pearson, 19500 Bulverde Rd. From the map search I did, it looks like it is between Emerald Ridge Drive and Rosehart.

Thanks for all the advice so far!

I%26#39;d say look for a place on 1604 well east of 281, if you can. If you head west, look for something in the Blanco road area or further west. That way, you can miss the worst of the exits.

The area that I listed are on the east part of 1604E. I wouldn%26#39;t personally go toward Blanco it very congested %26amp; not really any closer.

Hope you find what you are looking for.

I would agree with that -- I was just suggesting to avoid exiting at 281, even if you have to drive farther out. The east side of 1604 is definitely your best bet.
